The Saltwells Youth Club works in the local community to create positive activities for the young people in the area. They also work together with other organisations to provide a holistic service for the young people and others in the community.

The young people engaged in the following activities:

  • Support and development of the local youth club
  • Work with young people around personal and issues based work
  • Young people making new friends and developing social skills
  • Keeping fit and making a choice to live healthier lifestyles
  • Youth activities, social action and workshops
  • Helping young people take responsibility for their local community
  • Having fun and engaging in positive activities in a safe and friendly environment
  • Volunteer projects and peer mentor programmes

Impact, Enlight Projects and High Oak work together to educate young people aged 11-16 across the Black Country, providing creative and exciting programmes which enthuse and motive learners. The programmes are targeted around young people who are disengaged with school and education and need the extra support to help them be more motivated or return to school. The projects use Drama, dance, Music, the environment and sports to as tools for education and social engagement.

High Oak Youth Group was formed by young people, community members and professionals who wanted to create innovative programmes to engage young people. Allowing them to have new experiences, gain qualifications and skills, become active citizens in their communities and make a positive difference to their lives and the lives of others around then.

The group is made up all young people from various back grounds, ages and cultures. Working together to bring about understanding, and community cohesion in their local areas and the wider society.

Our aim is to develop new and innovative projects working with the young people, the community, volunteers and partners.

The Team provide specialist help, education and support to young people designed to increase their confidence, self-esteem, social skills and knowledge. We aim to get young people interested in the places where they live and to help them become active citizens in the local community and wider society.
